Travis Barker and his wife Kourtney Kardashian finally broke their silence after the musician was mysteriously hospitalized. 

The former Blink 182 drummer took to social media to explain why he was rushed to the hospital on June 28.

“I went in for an endoscopy on Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,” he stated. 

He elaborated that during the endoscopy, doctors had to remove a small polyp in a sensitive area, which damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This unfortunately led to severe life threatening pancreatitis.

In spite of his current disposition, Travis was grateful for the intensive care he received while he was hospitalized. Meanwhile, Kourtney lauded specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking care of Travis.

She even posted a heartfelt message and said, “I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and appreciative.”

However, The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star expressed her dismay on how the paparazzi spread rumors on Travis’s health struggles. 

“And to the paparazzi who sold pictures of me ‘out and about’ while my husband was in hospital fighting for his life… these were pictures actually taken weeks ago (I can’t even remember the last time I wore that sweatsuit in the photos)…”

“I didn’t forget about you. A new level of low, monetizing off of our nightmare. Really savagely uncool when I actually didn’t leave his side.. Shame on you,” she added.

One may recall that the two tied the knot in Santa Barbara on May 15, then later held a grand wedding celebration in Portofino Italy on May 22.
