Going through depression isn’t easy and it can be one of the most debilitating feelings one can endure. It can interfere with one’s life by causing severe sadness, hopelessness, and at times leads to suicide.

One may note that depression cases have also spiked over the years, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, taking a heavy toll on people’s mental health. People have lost loved ones, been unemployed, and struggled financially during these trying times.

1. Deuteronomy 31:8

This verse means that God will always be with you no matter what. You do not have to fear anything because God will never abandon you.

2. Philippians 4:8

Think positive even when times get tough. Always look at the bright side of  life and think victorious when you are faced with hurdles. 

3. Philippians 4:13

As long as you believe in God, the sky’s the limit. Anything is possible because God can create wonders in your life. 

4. John 16: 33

God is bigger than this world so forget all of your anxieties. Live in peace and you need not worry, because God will always have your back. 

5. Jeremiah 29: 11

God is ahead of everyone. What He has in store for you is more than what you ask for and is bigger than what you can imagine. You must trust him. 

6. Matthew 11: 28

When you feel that you can’t carry on with all the burdens and problems in your life, turn to the Lord and he will lead the way.

7. Proverbs 3: 5-6

We may not understand why we have to struggle and suffer, but when this happens we must submit to the Lord and realize that He knows best.

In times of troubles God is present. When you feel that all is lost and there isn’t a way out, God will be by your side.

God reminds us He will always keep his word that He shall always be with us no matter where we go. Therefore, we should never feel distraught nor frightened of what’s to come. Have faith! 

10. Psalm 40: 1-2

When you’ve hit your lowest point, remember that God will push you upwards and help you. If you stay true to the Lord, He will guide you in your journey.
